Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,
Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh !
Sadh Sanggat Ji
We would like to extend our heartiest thanks to all who have been supporting us since we took over. Many ideas and suggestions have been pouring in and this can only be good for the sanggat and the community. The team feels overwhelmed with the unity shown.
We have resumed our programmes steadily with the enhanced precautionary measures still in place at the gurdwara. Read on to be familiar with these measures. You are receiving the November monthly programme with this note.
We humbly take this opportunity to thank Sardar Sarbjit Singh and his team members for their relentless sewa for the past 4 years and in that time, KDS had undergone various renovations and there are further renovations to be carried out.
COVID19
1. We are still in the midst of COVID 19. Whilst the authorities are doing their best in curbing the spread of Covid, we need to be constantly reminded that if we let our guards down there will be further restrictions imposed.
2. We had implemented a separate entry and exit points at the main gate and would monitor its effectiveness as time goes by. Sewadars will be deployed.
3. Please ensure that you scan your QR code or NRIC for entry into the Gurdwara and wear a mask and sanitize your hands. Take your temperature readings, follow the Entry & Exit signs and refrain from talking & mingling at the Darbar Hall. If you notice that the sanggat is reaching the max capacity of 100 people, please do allow others to pay their respects to Guru Ji. The Ragi Jatha will remind the sanggat of this periodically.
4. The sanggat is advised to practice social distancing by being at least 1 meter away from each other when doing the safe entry check, taking their temperature, waiting at the lift lobby or when queuing for darshan before GuruJi. We would like to appeal to the sanggat to abide by these regulations. Please sit at the allocated stickers pasted on the floor. LANGGAR
5. Please note that there is strictly no consumption of langgar at the Gurdwara premises. All food is to be taken away. Please leave after your prayers and/or collecting your langgar. There should be no reception or mingling between worshipers, before, during or after each worship service. Langgar will be served after the ardaas.
6. To minimize mingling & interaction of crowds, MC has decided that tea will be served only in the morning (One Container) till it is finished. For Sundays, we will provide two containers of tea till finished. Tea will not be served in the afternoon.
CAR PARK
7. We have noticed that there has been indiscriminate parking of vehicles at the basement carpark hence hindering the movement of cars as they are blocked by other vehicles. Henceforth, the basement car park will be closed once it is full.
8. LTA had allowed us to park along Niven Road from lamp post 11 to 14 only on Sundays from 9.00am till 2pm. In the event if there is no parking available, please park outside at the car parks. We apologize for this inconvenience.
KITCHEN MANAGEMENT
9. Sanggat is advised not to mingle in the kitchen area unless you are performing sewa. Do not deal with sewadars directly. Please liaise with the langgar team or MC members if any assistance is required.
LANGGAR OUTREACH PROGRAM
We are still participating in the weekly Langgar Outreach Programme (LOP) every Thursday. A total of 150 packets of langgar is packed in “bento boxes” and sent to “Willing Hearts” . BE PART OF OUR COMMITTEE
As there can be limited people on the management committee, we invite you to be part of each sub-committee and only with all of us coming together, we can achieve success and smooth running of the Gurdwara.
No idea/suggestion is too small but it will take time for the idea/suggestion to fruition. Patience is key to everything.
